Millwall boss Ian Holloway says Watford loanee Diego Fabbrini is a player he would pay to watch but admits the Italian must do more to help the Lions defensively.

The 24-year-old, who has been capped once by Italy, has impressed for south east London club since joining on loan until the end of the season in January.

He has made seven appearances for Millwall but has yet to find the net. However, Holloway believes It is only a matter of time until Fabbrini breaks his duck in front of goal and creates chances for his team-mates.

"He's quite exciting and wonderful to watch," the Millwall boss told newsatden.com.

"I'd pay to watch him myself to be honest because he's been a breath of fresh air. He can play in any one of two or three roles.

"He's got to get that end product where he slots someone in or hits the target but that will come because he's a fantastic player."

Holloway added: "What we've got to do is know where he's going to end up when we lose the ball because he's got to be in area where he can help the team," added the Millwall boss.

"He's a wonderful lad and I'm delighted we've got him. I've got to work an area to keep him in because he does float – so when we lose it, where is he defensively?"
