Goals from Dennon Lewis and Ogo Obi helped Watford Under-18s come from behind to clinch a 2-1 victory against Barnet in Merit League One on Saturday.
The visitors had taken the lead in the contest at London Colney but Lewis levelled the game before Obi fired home what proved to be the winner.
It was the Hornets sixth win in eight Merit League One matches and the club’s lead professional development coach David Horseman has been impressed with the improvements made by the Golden Boys’ youngsters.
"There's been a couple of really tough games in the last two weeks, and the boys have really stood up to the test," he told the club’s website.
"We've won six out of eight games but what is really pleasing is the improvements we've shown.
"We've been working on the defensive side of things on the training pitch, and to see the defenders show such big signs of improvement is what it's all about.”
