GLASGOW youngsters have been rewarded for joining the fight against wildlife crime.
For the past six months pupils at Bannerman High School in Baillieston have worked with Strathclyde Police's Wildlife Crime Officer, PC Craig Borthwick.
They've learnt about the work done by all agencies involved in tackling crime against wildlife.
Each pupil received a special award at a ceremony at the school.
The scheme was used by the school as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme.
It's hoped its success will lead to it being rolled out nationally to all award participants.
The pupils have been involved in tracking and recording urban species, such as deer and badgers.
They also went to Mull and Rum, where they saw red deer, mountain hare, otter and porpoise, and joined the Sea Eagle protection watch.
