POLICE are helping young offenders find jobs.
The Strathclyde Police initiative has been launched in Renfrewshire and offers training, help with CVs and cash to buy clothing for interviews.
Referrals are made to Careers Scotland, which makes contact with the offender within five days.
Chief Superintendent Johnny Gwynne said; "This gives them a chance to change for the better before offending becomes the norm to them.
