A PARTNERSHIP to fight climate change has been given the go-ahead by council bosses.
East Renfrewshire's environment convener Councillor Eddie Phillips got the green light from all 20 council members after he addressed them on the need to do more locally to stop the world overheating.
The partnership will bring together professionals and volunteers from schools, churches, the council and its partner agencies to fight climate change by boosting recycling, energy conservation, composting and fuel efficiency.
Councillor Phillips, said: "I was delighted to receive the support of every councillor."
