THE ghost of Henrik Larsson is about to visit Celtic Park - in the form of Samuel Eto'o.

The Barcelona striker believes he has developed the ability to disappear from the view of defenders then re-emerge in a dangerous goal-scoring position. And Eto'o revealed it was Hoops hero Larsson who taught him him to perform this trick during his two seasons at the Nou Camp.

The Cameroon hitman is battling to be fit for next week's Champions League first leg tie in Glasgow after finishing the African Nations Cup with a hamstring strain.

But he has set his sights on playing against Celtic and said: "The chats I had with Henrik while he was at Barca were very precious.

"He gave us the possibility to play with his movement and the way he opened up spaces.

"When he came on in the 2006 Champions League final, it was decisive. He allowed me to excel. Henrik taught me how to become invisible, how to make other players forget about me.

"It was him who showed me how to disappear in the eyes of defenders, but to always remain available."

Eto'o's fitness is being monitored by the Barca medical team, who are also working to get Carles Puyol fit.

The defender appeared to have no chance of playing in either of the ties after being told he would be out for up to a month with a thigh injury.

But the captain has defied those predictions and could even return to action this weekend.

Meanwhile, midfielder Xavi has predicted Barca will knock out Celtic and go all the way to the final in Moscow. He said: "As for the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, we expect to reach the finals."
