GLASGOW'S White City Stadium was a sporting institution in the city from the 1920s to the 60s.
Home to both greyhound and speedway racing, it was the spiritual home of the Glasgow Tigers speedway team, who raced there off and on from 1946 until 1968.
Located in Paisley Road West at Ibrox, opposite Bellahouston Park, the track closed for business in 1968 as work began on the nearby M8.
Today, the former cinder track, grandstand and terracing have all vanished and the site, which long lay empty, is occupied by the new Govan police station.
