TWICE as many Scots under-25 and over-65 were made bankrupt this year than two years ago.
The official figures show 57 under-25s were declared bankrupt in 2006/07 and 105 over-65s. The figures for 2004/05 were 79 and 46.
The rise is said to show the current record personal debt level has more effect on low-earning age groups.
