TOURISM staff from Edinburgh are getting a taste of Glasgow as part of an exchange project.
The cities are working together to help staff get to know each other's top tourist destinations, so they can help visitors enjoy their stay in Scotland.
To start the project, tourist office staff and hotel owners were given a guided tour of the West End, seeing attractions such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Ashton Lane and the University of Glasgow.
The work of architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh was also a focus of the tour, with stops at the Hunterian Art Gallery and Glasgow School of Art.
David Kay, who owns a hotel in Edinburgh, said: "A lot of our guests often take a day trip to Glasgow and ask where are the city's best museums, art galleries, bars, restaurants. etc. This tour has improved my knowledge of Glasgow. There are some fantastic places to visit."
There will be more visits and Glasgow staff will get the opportunity soon to see Edinburgh's attractions.
The events are funded by the Glasgow-Edinburgh Collaboration Project.
