After their fantastic launch night in early January, which bore witness to acomedy slosh and impromptu 'disco bus stop', Somethin's Rotten in Denmark returns to Basura Blanca for another journey into the best electronic dance music from the last 25 years.

Italo disco? Wonky Techno? Electrofunk? Detroit machine grooves? Electronic Boogie? You'll hear it all here mixed up impeccably by some of the city's favourite local djs in the intimate yet welcoming Basura Blanca.

This time round they welcome back bona fide disco head Andy Piacentini and local techno aficionado John Law as your hosts for the night.

Deaf Monkey promotions tells me "Andy and John worked so well together the last time that we thought it would be rude not to reunite them once more."

Their last party rocked so get down early next Friday. You wont be disappointed.

Kinky Afro returns to The Sub Club next Friday with Acid-Dub-Bitch-Glitch-Wonk, Actress, Interakt Crew, Benga, Monochrome - live and Gost Wan all on the decks alongside residents Mr Mafro and The Kinkdogg.

Acid-Dub-Bitch-Glitch-Wonk are regarded by many as the most powerful and influential producer in the emergent Dubstep scene; Benga not only has mentored Skream to his dizzy heights of genre busting fame but Benga put his money where his mouth was with his 'Newstep' compilation before going on to hit labels such as Dub Stars and the increasingly relevant tastemaking label - Planet Mu.

Benga's music is bouncing, two step instrumental bass, forged from sounds more akin to the electro scene yet with rhythmic forms never before heard. For new comers he could possibly be the best intro to these new sounds since his productions take the energy of techno but splices it with new formats in programming and structure. You'll think your ears have gone on holiday.

Meantime, head honcho of Werk-Discs, Actress's uncompromising live sets take the terse and yet maleable sounds of South London and mash them with the more linear side of techno forging a splintered hybrid. The Werk Parties are now the stuff of legend with the cream of the underground dropping by to spin their wares... as an imprint they foster such wonky talent as Starkey, Radioclit and Stacs of Stamina and new kid on the block Lukid.

Never ever one for musical intertia, Actress will be playing out exclusive tracks from his forthcoming album on Werk, to be released in March. Glasgow's own homegrown Dubstep producer Momochrome is the multifacted and dextrous Tom Churchill who for years have been producing house and techno for his own emoticon and headspace labels. Having been comprehensively seduced by the black magic of the two-step scene his golden touch has been igniting dancefloors in Glasgow since last July when he debuted in the Sub Club to an exceptional response.

Interakt Crew are the long time southern co-horts yet new to the 'Fro, these two gentlemen bring messed up electro and sickeningly rude techno from their ascendant club night in London which has featured the likes of N-Type, Youngsta, Ceefax Acid, Si Begg, Tenniswood, Marco Bernardi and Benga.
