STAFF at bakers Greggs are celebrating after winning a top union award for outstanding team work.
Workers at Greggs stores across the West of Scotland won retail union Usdaw's Scottish Team of the Year award for their campaign to reduce violence against shop staff and to raise awareness of the 20,000 employees assaulted each year.
The Greggs stewards have recruited 179 members in small shops across the country.
Usdaw General Secretary John Hannett said: "The Greggs team are outstanding winners."
