A COW teaching chemistry may seem udder madness, but scientists at Glasgow University hope this beast will spark interest in chemical research.
Chem-moo-stry has set up home at the university and bosses say he'll help show science isn't boring.
The fibreglass beast decorated with chemistry flasks will be introduced to pupils on school visits and will be a focal point of open days at the chemistry department.
Professor Anne Glover, above, Chief Scientific Adviser for Scotland, said: "As scientists we need to find new ways of reaching out to the public. This is an arresting and innovative way to engage with people."
Chem-moo-stry will go on display in the Hunterian Museum this summer as part of the Chemistry at Work Festival.
