Watford's performance against Nottingham Forest was a confusing one. At times they played some exquisite football in attack but ultimately were lucky to leave City Ground with three points despite facing ten men for most of the second half.

So it is hard to select four stand out performers because, for example, players like Ben Watson and Almen Abdi helped the Golden Boys produce some excellent football in the final third, but were also part of a midfield that were overrun for large spells of the game.

Likewise some of the defenders made good individual contributions. For example Matthew Connolly's burst forward and goal and Gabriele Angella was dominant in the air. But once again they were part of a defensive unit that struggled to contain The Reds.

Odion Ighalo's 20th goal of the season sees his inclusion but one suspects there will only be one winner considering the stupendous performance from Heurelho Gomes which ensured the Golden Boys the 3-1 win.
