Bournemouth will be joining Watford in the Premier League next season barring the unthinkable but the equation remains the same for the Hornets - beat Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and they will be promoted as champions.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side would have secured the title tonight had the Cherries lost at home to Bolton Wanderers. But goals from Marc Pugh, Matt Ritchie and Callum Wilson secured a 3-0 win to put Eddie Howe's side three points clear of third-placed Middlesbrough and with a superior goal difference of 19.

Bournemouth finish their campaign at Charlton Athletic but the Hornets take a one-point lead into the final day and know that if they match or better the Cherries result they will win be crowned champions of the second tier of English football for the first time in the club's history.

The Hornets secured their return to the top flight on Saturday after goals for Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra earned a 2-0 win at Brighton and Hove Albion and later results involving Middlesbrough and Norwich City went the way of Jokanovic's troops.
