Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura is still training with Watford despite his loan deal expiring but Hornets head coach Slavisa Jokanovic refused to state whether he wanted to sign the Algerian permanently.

Guedioura has been a big hit at Vicarage Road during his two loan spells but is unable to feature in the title-decider with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday because he reached the 93-day limit for players on emergency loan.

The Algerian stated he wanted to remain with the Golden Boys so he could celebrate their promotion to the Premier League and it appears Eagles manager Alan Pardew has granted his wish.

Jokanovic was asked if he wanted to sign Guedioura permanently this afternoon and replied with his now customary dry sense of humour.

"These people from Sky Sports are important people and they will find a headline," Jokanovic said with a wry smile and pointing to the film crew.

"It is not the time [to talk about transfers]. We must be concentrated on the game and we must do everything to win the silverware. Next week we will have meetings about what is our future.

"After that I can answer your question."

On Saturday Guedioura told the Watford Observer he would do everything in his power to be at Vicarage Road on Saturday, as he wanted to "run on to the pitch with the lads" to celebrate promotion. (Read the interview here)

Palace have allowed him to continue to train with the Golden Boys and the Hornets are continuing to reap the rewards of having the 29-year-old on board, even if he can't play at the weekend.

"He has done a great job and while he won’t play the game, he will help us prepare for the match," Jokanovic said. "He has been a very important player and did a fantastic job for us.

Adlene will not participate in the game but he has participated at the training ground. He is still helping us and is still one of our players.

"He won’t play but is doing a good job for us. He is a great professional player and a great character. It is a pleasure to work with players and people like him."

"He has helped today in training and I expect him to be a great help tomorrow too. He will be a very important guy for us for Saturday’s game," Jokanovic added.
