Watford favourite Lloyd Doyley has missed out on Jamaica’s provisional squad for the Copa America through injury but three former Hornets have been included.
The 32-year-old, who has won nine caps for the Reggae Boyz, is believed to have had surgery for a neck problem yesterday (Wednesday).
However, former Golden Boys Adrian Mariappa, Jobi McAnuff and Joel Grant are all included in Winfried Schafer’s 30-man preliminary squad for the tournament.
Doyley's last outing for the Hornets came in the defeat by Wolverhampton Wanders on Boxing Day. The Whitechapel-born defender won the last of his caps for Jamaica in an 8-0 defeat against France in June.
The Copa America, which begins on June 11, is the South American equivalent of UEFA's European Championships but incorporates Mexico and Jamaica this year too. The winners will automatically qualify for the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
