The Under-15 Wasps side from Watford Ladies completed the season unbeaten after beating second-placed St Albans City North 5-3.

Having already gained promotion, the Wasps were able to play with a degree of freedom not usually afforded to the side top of the league and made the most of it.

First blood went to the Wasps with an early goal from Angel Frost but St Albans fought back hard and ended the opening half with a 2-1 lead.

Sophia Citro levelled early in the second period and Mikhela Treon put the Hornets back in front soon after.

However, with just 15 minutes left St Albans equalised to tee up a nail-biting finale. And it was Frost who gave Watford the win by completing her hat-trick.

The Under-15 Hornets warmed up for their League Cup final by brushing aside Bury Rangers 5-1 in a dress rehearsal.

And Watford will be hoping for a similar outcome this weekend when they face the same opposition after Olivia Syson (3), Grace Hindley and Eleanor Lord sealed an emphatic victory.

Goals from Louise Chick and Emily Humphrey were not enough as the Under-15 Harts were beaten 3-2 at Harpenden.

The Under-11 Hornets went goal mad against Garston Ladies Diamonds as even goalkeeper Mia Wolfin netted.

Kayra Karakus (3), Chloe Jeffs (2), Hannah Perkins, Jessica Cripps, Bliss Murray, Grace Langham and stopper Wolfin were all on target.
