Watford have confirmed Lloyd Dyer, Lewis McGugan, Diego Fabbrini, Cristian Battocchio and Essaid Belkalem will all return to the club for pre-season training.

The quintet ended the previous campaign away from Vicarage Road on either short or long-term loan deals.

McGugan, Dyer and Fabbrini were sent out on loan during the 2014/2015 season after former Hornets head coach Slavisa Jokanovic stopped the trio, in addition to Keith Andrews and Mathias Ranegie, training with the first-team.

McGugan initially switched to Sheffield Wednesday in November on a six-week loan but that was then renewed until the end of the season in February.

Dyer, who joined Watford on a three-year deal from Leicester City last summer, returned to the Midlands in January. He clinched a loan move to Birmingham City until the end of the campaign.

The winger was joined at St Andrew's in March by Fabbrini after the Italian, who has been capped once by his country, impressed during a two-month loan at Millwall.

Battocchio, who is currently representing Italy at the Under-21 European Championships, spent the season in Serie B with Virtus Entella while Belkalem was on a season-long loan with Trabzonspor in Turkey.

However, they will all return to Watford on Monday and link up the rest of the Hornets squad for pre-season training.
