Division One

An impressive century from Jack Doodson inspired Hemel Hempstead Town to a 38-run win at Eastcote on Sunday.

Openers Anjam Khan (21) and Tom Elborn (11) made a modest start with the bat for Hemel but Doodson, at four, soon made his mark at the crease by bludgeoning his way to 116.

Hitting 14 fours and two sixes, Doodson was the mainstay of the innings and was followed by Sam Jenkinson (30) and Ed Langley (25) as Hemel put up 249 for nine before declaring.

Eastcote had no reply to the bowling of Brad Finch, who returned impressive figures of six for 38 from his nine overs.

After Finch snared opener Hobday (60), the wickets continued to fall and although Wiresuriya made 42, Hemel sealed the win by removing their hosts for 211.

Division Six

Liam Jahn clinched a hat-trick as Hemel Hempstead Town Seconds made it three wins from three with a resounding 54-run victory at home Finchley.

Put in by Finchley after morning rain, Jahn (44) and Ryan Wilson responded by putting on 79 for the first wicket in the first 21 overs.

The game had been reduced to 40 overs per side due to the late start and Dave Jenkins added a quick 26 to put Hemel towards a challenging total of 180 for eight.

Skipper Rory Fraser got stuck into the Finchley line-up, snapping up three for 16 whilst Charlie Hoskins (two for 28) also helped make light work of the visitors.

But it fell to Jahn to steal the show, returning barely believable figures of four for one to finish with a hat-trick and remove the away side for 126.
