Watford's Kayleigh McCarthy returned from the National Trampoline League in Hull with gold, describing the competition as the best of her life.

In the senior ladies’ event, the Sprung Loaded Trampoline Club member recorded a new personal best in round one, scoring 42.810. Another excellent showing in round two secured McCarthy’s final berth and she finished with a score of 139.665 to secure gold.

The second event was the Super A League Ladies’ completion. McCarthy continued her impressive showing by scoring 43.235 in round one. Again she advanced to the final and finished in fourth place overall.

Synchronised trampolining was McCarthy’s final event and paired with Naomi Waldock, she topped off an excellent day by taking the runners-up spot.

Reflecting on her success, McCarthy enthused: “This was by far the best competition of my life and I am really pleased to be on top form heading off to Portugal for an international competition next weekend.

“It was such an achievement to be awarded scores above 9.0 (out of 10) as I have never scored that high before. I have been working extremely hard on improving my trampolining and I am pleased to say it is paying off.”
