Miguel Britos has agreed to move to Watford and Swiss captain Gokhan Inler could also be on his way as part of a deal involving Allan joining Napoli from Udinese, reports from Italy claim.

There have been increasing suggestions since last night that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has met with Udinese president Gianpaolo Pozzo in London to discuss a move for the Brazilian defensive midfielder.

Calcionews24 is now claiming the Serie A clubs are close to agreeing Allan’s move for a fee approaching €11m, with the two Napoli players moving to Vicarage Road as part of the deal. Britos, who has also attracted interest from Besiktas, is said to have agreed to join the fellow Pozzo-owned club and Inler is also widely reported to be part of the transfer package.

Central defender Britos began his career in his native Uruguay before moving to Bologna from Wanderers in 2008 of €4m. He then joined Napoli in 2011 for a fee of €9m, helping them to two Coppa Italia triumphs in 2012 and 2014 and finish Serie A runners-up in 2013.

Club-mate Inler is another player whose value went up significantly after joining a Pozzo-owned club.

Signed from FC Zurich by Udinese for €1m in 2007, the 31-year-old midfielder joined Napoli four years later for €17.5m. The captain of Switzerland has won 83 caps to date, scoring six goals.
