The Hornets are in talks with St Albans City over using Clarence Park for Under-21 matches, the Watford Observer understands.
After their application to become a Category Two Academy was successful, the Golden Boys will field a side in the Under-21 Premier League Cup and will also compete in an Under-21 development league.
While the possibility of building a small stand at the Hornets’ London Colney training ground in order to host Under-21 matches was discussed last season following their Category Two application, Watford have approached St Albans in an effort to have a home away from home for their young players.
