Ollie Taverner won gold in the 13/14 year-old 50m men’s breaststroke at the British Summer Championships on Tuesday.
The Watford Swimming Club member clocked 31.26 seconds as he finished clear of second placed Joel Thompson in the competition at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge.
The former Bushey Swimming Club youngster was back in the pool today and finished tenth in his heat in the 200m individual medley and is now waiting to see if that is good enough to earn him a place in the final.
