Watford supporters hoping to cast their eye over new signing Miguel Britos tomorrow will be disappointed as the defender will not feature in the Hornets' friendly against Sevilla.

The centre-back joined the Golden Boys last week on a three-year deal but wasn't included in the match-day squads for Saturday’s friendly at Dundee United or Tuesday’s warm-up game at Cardiff City.

The reason why is because the paperwork over his move from Napoli has yet to be competed and he will also have to sit out tomorrow’s friendly against the Europa League champions.

There will be no need to rush Britos into action, however, as he is unable to play a competitive fixture for the Hornets until their home game against Southampton on Sunday, August 23.

That is because of a red card he received for head-butting Juventus striker Alvaro Morata in a Serie A match in May.

The incident led to Britos being handed a three game ban but he was able to serve one of those with Napoli before the season ended.

But his suspension will now be transferred to Watford which means he will miss the opening day trip to Everton and the home match with West Bromwich Albion.
