Fullerians put the disappointment of defeat by Old Haberdashers last weekend behind them to return to the summit of London 2 North West with a 35-24 bonus point win at Harpenden on Saturday.

From kick-off Fullers pinned Harpenden in their own 22 and after the ball had gone through several phases of play, second row Liam Boyd was on hand to crash over with Dan Evans kicking the extras.

Boyd then turned provider for Evans, offloading for the wing to give Fullers a 14-0 lead with just ten minutes on the clock.

It was one-way traffic at this stage and on more than one occasion the final pass went astray as Fullers sought to press home their advantage.

Fullers were made to pay for those wasted opportunities, though, as Harpenden scored three quick-fire tries to take a 19-14 lead before the break.

But having lost the lead Fullers returned with a renewed vigour and added three tries of their own to regain control of the contest.

A string of penalties awarded in Fullers' favour led to a penalty try being awarded by the referee, Evans successfully converting.

From kick-off Tom Williams outstripped the Harpenden defence to touch down again before Myles Toon offloaded to the wing to score his second and complete the win.

Speaking afterwards, assistant coach David Neale said: “We were disappointed with our performance last week and made amends this week.

"We scored some great tries once again and to earn a bonus point win at Harpenden was fantastic."

Fullers' Seconds continued their fine recent form with a resounding 90-0 win over Harpenden Seconds.

With their opponents barely touching the ball, Fullers crossed the whitewash four times inside 15 minutes.

A total of 14 tries did the damage with Chris Heley also nailing ten conversions for rampant Fullers.
