It’s been a tough week for Sun Sports who shipped nine goals in two games and were dumped out of the Premier Division Cup.

On Saturday Sun went down 5-1 at leaders London Colney – Joseph Kelly with the visitors’ consolation – before exiting the cup 4-1 at the hands of Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday evening. Karl Penny netted on that occasion.

Oxhey Jets picked up their first league win in three on Saturday as they overcame London Tigers.

Goals from Christopher Killer and Simeon Armstrong had Bob Wyatt’s men 2-1 up at half time before Ben Alexander and Adam Lowton killed the game off in the second half.

Jets were promptly trounced 7-0 by London Colney in the Premier Division Cup on Tuesday, though. They host Wembley on Saturday.

Berkhamsted moved up to third place by picking up four points in the last week and now find themselves eight points off the summit with two games in hand.

The Comrades trounced Harefield United 4-1 on Saturday with a brace from new-boy Alex Campana and further efforts from Frankie Jowle and Ed Canham.

On Tuesday they drew 0-0 at Biggleswade United. A visit to Saffron Walden Town in the FA Vase awaits on Saturday.

Tring Athletic picked up a creditable goalless draw at Welwyn on Saturday before seeing Tuesday’s St Mary’s Cup tie against Bushey Sports Club postponed.

Athletic host Welwyn in the Herts Charity Shield on Saturday.

Leverstock Green beat Hertford Town 3-1 on Saturday before crumbling 4-0 at Biggleswade United on Tuesday. They travel to Harefield United on Saturday.
