Defending champions Belstone moved back to within three points of the Herts County Premier League summit after edging out Wormley Rovers by the odd goal in seven on Saturday.

Strikes from Alan Bolger, Darren Turner and a Drew Tyler brace saw the Radlett club up to fourth in the table, three points behind leaders Standon and Puckeridge having played a game more.

Standon kept hold of top spot after they won 4-2 at Bushey Sports Club; Jamie Hurst and Ross Shorto scoring for the home side.

Bovingdon’s title hopes suffered a blow after they were beaten 2-1 at home by Hatfield Social; Brad Davies on target for the hosts.

Strikes from Conor Flanagan and David Spencer earned Evergreen a 2-2 draw at home to struggling Hinton, but Old Parmiterians are now propping up the table following a 2-1 home reverse at the hands of Sandridge Rovers. Josh Towle scored in Parmiterians’ ninth defeat of the campaign.

Sarratt have an Aubrey Cup third round trip to Bedmond Sports and Social Club to look forward to in the new year after they beat village neighbours Chipperfield Corinthians 3-1. Shaun Banham and two-goal Mark Shanahan were on target for the victors.

Bedmond continue to fight on multiple trophy fronts and are now into the quarter-finals of the Herts Saturday Intermediate Cup after overcoming Berkhamsted Reserves 3-0 thanks to Callum Hailey, Ian Hurst and Aaron Lewis.

Two-goals from Kilara Kilama-Oceng and a Robbie Martin single earned Croxley Green a 3-3 draw at Ickleford in Division One.
