Watford loanee Matej Vydra scored just his third goal of the season for Reading on Saturday as the Royals earned an FA Cup replay against Huddersfield Town.

The Czech Republic international has struggled for regular match action since his loan switch but was handed a start for Reading's trip to Huddersfield in round three.

Jamie Paterson headed the Terriers ahead after 57 minutes but Vydra levelled with 19 minutes remaining, controlling a long ball forward, cutting inside and bending into the top corner.

Hal Robson-Kanu then gave Brian McDermott’s visitors a 2-1 lead with three minutes left on the clock but Nakhi Wells equalised from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to seal a rematch.

Left-back Daniel Pudil helped Sheffield Wednesday into round four with a 2-1 win over Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham side.

The Owls went 1-0 up when Barry Bannan netted three minutes before the break at Hillsborough. But the lead lasted a minute as Moussa Dembele struck to level.

Atdhe Nuhui proved the match-winner, scoring with 17 minutes left to clinch Wednesday’s place in tonight’s draw.

Diego Fabbrini’s sixth goal of the season wasn’t enough to prevent Middlesbrough exiting the FA Cup 2-1 at home to Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

Fabbrini gave Boro a 36th minute lead, bundling home from close range following a goulmouth scramble, but Rouwen Hennings levelled for the Clarets on the stroke of half-time.

Left-back Stephen Ward clinched the visitors’ place in round four in the 71st minute.

Gabriele Angella made just his ninth start of the season for Queens Park Rangers as the Hoops lost 1-0 at Nottingham Forest in the cup.

Angella played the full 90 minutes but couldn’t prevent Rangers’ exit; Jamie Ward settling the tie after 24 minutes.

Juanfran was on the receiving end as new Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane enjoyed a 5-0 win in his first match as manager on Saturday.

The former French international replaced Rafa Benitez at the Bernabeau last week and Juanfran was powerless to resist as Madrid ran in five against his Deportivo La Coruna side.

Gareth Bale scored a hat-trick whilst Karim Benzema netted twice.

Miguel Layun enjoyed a rather better afternoon as Porto crushed Boavista 5-0 on Sunday.

The Mexican was booked but completed the 90 minutes as Hector Herrera, Jesus Corona, Vincent Aboubakar and Danilo Pereira all hit the back of the net.

Ogo Obi made a big impression during his six minutes of action, scoring the second as Hemel Hempstead Town beat Havant & Waterlooville 2-0 in the National League South.

The striker had twice been an unused substitute for the Tudors but was given the nod for the final six minutes and netted by cutting in from the left and firing home.

Jorell Johnson was an unused substitute as St Albans City lose 5-0 at Sutton United in the National League South.
