Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores admits it will be a challenge next season fitting the summer arrivals into their 25-man squad.

Watford signed midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and forward Adalberto Penaranda in the January transfer window and they will join up with their new team in the summer.

The Premier League side have also been strongly linked with Liverpool winger Jerome Sinclair with reports he has signed a deal to move to Vicarage Road in the summer.

Flores knows the increased competition for places will boost the club next season but accepts it will also pose a dilemma in terms of selecting his squad.

He said: “For sure we will have more options and it is better for the coach but also it’s hard because we can only have 25 players. Sometimes it’s good but it can also be hard."

Watford are also expected to complete a permanent move for Granada forward Isaac Success. There have been no shortage of players touted as potential arrivals with Liverpool pair Joe Allen and Jordan Ibe also reportedly attracting the club's interest.

Flores expects a number of new additions to the squad for next season but is keen to ensure his focus stays on working with his current group for the remainder of this campaign.

The Watford boss said: "There are a lot of interesting players for the next year but now the most important thing is to train with the players we have in the squad because they are the providers of this season.

“I think the next season is going to be very interesting. There are a lot of players coming so we will try to learn and compact the attack. But this is in three months and we have to focus on the Premier League."
