Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has praised the fans' support at Wembley and says their backing has helped the team to success this season.
The Hornets were beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace in their FA Cup semi-final on Sunday but have comfortably avoided relegation in their first season back in the top-flight.
Although their tie against the Eagles did not go to plan, the fans' backing, with about 30,000 Watford supporters in attendance, was again admired by their head coach.
Flores said: “They were amazing. I don’t have words [to describe] for the Watford fans because all season they followed us. They are always giving amazing support.
"If we achieved the semi-final of this competition and keep the team in the Premier League it’s because they followed us a lot."
Sunday was Flores' first time at Wembley as a coach and the Spaniard appreciated the occasion despite his side missing out on a place in the final against Manchester United.
He said: “It was a very good experience. When you arrive at Wembley the only idea you have is to be competitive. We were competitive and played a very tough match. We played well and had chances.
"In the second half we had the opportunity to draw including the feeling in the atmosphere in the stadium at this moment was we were better than Crystal Palace.
"But finally they got through and they are a very good team also."
