Jose Manuel Jurado could be close to reuniting with former Watford head coach Quique Sanchez Flores, according to Spanish media reports.
Barcelona-based newspaper Sport has reported the Hornets midfielder is set to join Espanyol for around €2.5m after he was targeted by his former boss at Vicarage Road, having also played under him at Atletico Madrid.
Much was expected of the 30-year-old former Spanish Under-21 international when he moved to Watford last summer on a three-year deal from Spartak Moscow.
Although Jurado made 30 Premier League appearances, he was predominantly used on the left side of midfield and was often unable to have a significant creative impact on matches.
