Watford defender Daryl Janmaat is expected to return from his facial injury within a fortnight.
The Dutch international suffered the injury after a training ground clash of heads with Adrian Mariappa last week.
Janmaat missed Saturday's defeat at West Brom but head coach Walter Mazzarri does not expect him to be a long-term absentee.
Speaking after the game, Mazzarri said: “I’m still very angry for the game we lost unfairly. I think it should be one or maximum two weeks without Janmaat."
Janmaat could potentially return for the Everton home game on Saturday but the away matches at Manchester City and Sunderland are more realistic targets.
Mariappa appears to have come off worse from the collision after picking up a knee injury which could sideline him for a month.
