Luton Town's mascot says Harry the Hornet should take a hard look at himself after his antics following Watford's draw with Crystal Palace.

The Hornets' mascot provoked hilarity after his comedy dive in front of Wilfried Zaha after the 1-1 draw.

It came just minutes after the Palace winger was booked for diving in the penalty area.

But Luton mascot Harry the Hatter has criticised the behaviour of his namesake describing it as dangerous.

Speaking to the Sun, he said: "I hope my namesake Harry the Hornet took a long hard look at himself yesterday after his Boxing Day antics.

"It will have been a real eye opener for Harry to have seen himself splashed all over the back pages – but that was not behaviour befitting a mascot! It's a dangerous way to carry on."

Harry the Hatter continued: "I understand why Palace were annoyed at the time because it only takes one section of fans to take unkindly and it can create a whole lot of mayhem.

"To dive right in front of Zaha at the final whistle when he's most probably angry not to have got the penalty was a bit silly. It's not the sort of thing I'd have done, put it that way!"
