Watford legend Graham Taylor's funeral is to be held next month, his family have announced, with a stadium tribute planned to remember the Hornets' greatest ever manager also planned for the summer.

St Mary's Church in Church Street will host Mr Taylor's funeral on February 1, at 1pm, and will be followed by a private family committal later in the day.

The family have asked that flowers not be donated by the wider community, and instead to the charity of his choice, the National Memoriam Arboretum. Online donations can be given via this link.

The service will be relayed to those outside the church, with significant interest expected from members of the public wishing to pay their respects.

Due to the anticipated high numbers, the make-up of those attending the church service will be at the personal request of Mr Taylor's family.

But for those who are not present on the day, a tribute event is in the planning stages to be held at Vicarage Road in the summer - shortly after the conclusion of the Premier League season, which finishes on May 21.
