Juan Carlos Paredes' Watford career looks to be coming to an end with the Ecuadorian in discussions with Greek champions Olympiakos.
Scottish side Rangers had been linked with a move for the exiled defender, but it appears south Europe will be his next destination with the defender's representatives in talks with officials in Athens.
Paredes spent time away from Vicarage Road last month in his native South America, and his Watford future has seemed doubtful since the summer.
He has not featured for the Hornets this season since an EFL Cup tie with Gillingham in August, and was not included in their 25-man Premier League squad by head coach Walter Mazzarri.
The defender could have played in any of Watford's Premier League games since the opening of the transfer window on January 1, as well as their FA Cup tie with Burton Albion.
But instead, he has fallen below even out-of-position Christian Kabasele for the Golden Boys' right wing-back slot.
