An action packed week at little Hay Golf Club saw a number of their players in action.

Firstly, the Ladies section competed in the Burhill Cup, NAPGC and UKPCC qualifiers on Monday.

Chris Woodcock ran out winner as she carded a birdie and four pars in a round of 38.

Dorothy Norman came second with 34 points and Carol Kent completed the top three with a round of 31.

Redbourn Friars proved no match for Little Hay on Wednesday as the club recovered from a disappointing defeat in their Senior Section clash.

They went on to record their best win of the season with a score of five-and-a-half to Redbourn’s two-and-a-half.

The seniors made the most of a break in the poor weather to take part in their monthly stableford on Thursday.

Ross Dorras claimed victory with 37 points, ahead of Patrick McInerney (36 points) and John Murphy (34 points).

In the second leg of the Herts Scratch League, Little Hay met Bushey Golf and Country Club on Saturday.

Bushey would ultimately prevail by a score of 5-3 in a match which was closer than the overall scoreline suggested.

The tie was closely matched until late in the day as Little Hay struggled to cope with their notoriously tough 16th and 17th holes.

Overall Bushey enjoyed the better of the two ties and won both the home and away legs to secure a deserved victory.
