A sensational finish ensured Kyle Langford reached the finals of the men's 800m at the IAAF World Championships in London late last night.
The Watford middle-distance runner was sitting fifth in the standings into the home straight, but powered his way into second place to ensure automatic qualification for tomorrow's final at the London Stadium in Stratford.
The 21-year-old, who runs with Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, was fortunate to make it into last night's semi-finals at all, having posted the 17th-fastest time in the heats - with only 18 runners making it through.
Langford is competing in his second World Championships, after failing to get out of the heats in 2015 in Beijing.
The final will be held at 9.35pm tomorrow.
