Watford have completed their second signing in two days with the arrival of Andre Gray from Burnley for a club-record fee.

The 26-year-old striker joins for a sum believed to be around £18 million, and will be available for Saturday's Premier League opener with Liverpool at Vicarage Road.

Gray scored nine Premier League goals for the Clarets last season, after finishing as the Championship's top scorer, with 25 goals, as the Turf Moor club won the division in 2015/16.

He has previously played for Brentford, Watford rivals Luton Town and Hinckley United, where he first came to the attention of professional clubs after he was released by Shrewsbury Town as an 18-year-old.

The striker follows fellow forward Richarlison into Vicarage Road after the Brazilian signed for a fee of around £11.5 million yesterday afternoon.
