Craig Cathcart and Mauro Zarate are the two notable names missing from Watford’s 25-man Premier League squad that has been published on the governing body's website tonight.

The Northern Ireland international, who was injured after coming off the bench in last week’s 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, has been left out along with the creative Argentine player, despite stepping up his recovery from a cruciate ligament by playing 45 minutes in today’s friendly victory over Millwall at London Colney.

Although claims have continued their futures may lie elsewhere, Nordin Amrabat and Stefano Okaka are both included, but Brice Dja Djedje is again omitted, while Costel Pantilimon's future has been decided after he completed a season-long loan move to Deportivo La Coruna.

Following this summer’s transfer dealings, Watford have been able to name a full 25-man squad of home grown players and no more than 17 who do not fulfil the criteria.

Richarlison and Isaac Success are among the Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the 25-man squad limit.
