Sebastian Prodl has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal, tying him to the club until 2021.

The centre-back who won the club’s Player of the Season award last term but has struggled with injury this.

Speaking on the Hornets’ twitter the Austrian revealed his pleasure at sealing a new deal with the Vicarage Road club.

He said: “I am very pleased to sign a new deal here at Watford FC. I hope to see you soon and be back on the pitch soon and am looking forward to the next four years.”

The 30-year-old arrived in Hertfordshire from Werder Bremen in 2015 and has gone on to make 61 appearances for Watford, scoring three goals.
