Garston Ladies secured safe passage through to the next round of the League Cup thanks to a 5-1 win against Royston Town Reserves. Kelly Kirwan hit a hat-trick while Emma Trill contributed a brace.
There were big cup wins for many of the youth sides as well; the Under-16 Pumas beat Watford Ladies Harts 9-3 with Neve Mayes hitting six, while Victory Edema was also on top form, netting four in the Under-14 Jaguars’ 5-1 win over Welwyn Pegasus.
Bliss Murray and Emily Rollinger hit four each in a comfortable 9-0 victory for the Under-14 Leopards over Stevenage Borough Stars.
The Under-15 Lionesses had a closer affair but came out 3-1 winners against Onslow St Audrey’s Academy Purples.
But the Under-16 Panthers were unable to continue the winning theme as they went down 4-0 to Bury Rangers.
There were positive results for the club in the league as well, as Emily Downey’s hat-trick helped the Under-18s to victory in a 4-3 thriller away at Kempston Town & Bedford College. Yasmin Sabri also netted.
The Under-12 Lionesses beat Welwyn Pegasus 3-2, but the Under-13 Pumas went down 6-0 at home to AC Finchley.
