With no competitive match, Watford Academy Girls Under-14s took on Billericay Under-15s at the weekend.

They put on a solid display but came out on the losing side, despite a goal from Tia Wilson giving them a first-half lead.

Elsewhere, the Under-12s took on Whetstone Wanderers and were utterly dominant as they claimed a resounding 15-0 win.

Sarah McDermott was the pick of the Watford goalscorers as she bagged a hat-trick, Eva Brown also impressed with a brace, while Olivia Brock also scored.

Watford’s control was so great, they were able to give goalkeepers Tia Ginn and Bonnie-May Mander time out on pitch, and both scored twice.

Sunday saw the club’s Under-10s and Under-9s take part in a tournament at Barnet’s The Hive Stadium.

Both sides produced solid displays in their opening games of the competition before facing each other.

The Academy teams then had the pleasure of walking out with the Barnet Bees ahead of their WSL game with Tottenham Ladies.

They took part in a penalty shoot-out at half-time and the Under-10s were presented with their winners medals.

The Girls Academy train at Harefield Academy and are seeking talented and committed Under-16 girls players to join their squad. Requests for trials should be made by sending an email to trials@watfordfcgirlsacademy.com
