Watford will appeal against the red card shown to Marvin Zeegelaar during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley.
The Dutch defender was given his marching orders in the 39th minute for a two-footed challenge on Burnley’s Steven Defour.
He will be available to play against Crystal Palace should the appeal prove the be successful, but will otherwise serve a three-match ban, which would rule him out of the Eagles games as well as matches against Huddersfield and Brighton.
Marco Silva described the red card as a game-changing moment in the wake of the loss at Turf Moor.
"We had to compete the rest of the game 10 men against 11," he said. "It was an unfair game then as a result."
Meanwhile, Watford Under-23's game against Ipswich Town this afternoon has been postponed due to the bad weather.
