Former Watford boss Walter Mazzarri is eager on a reunion with Etienne Capoue, reports claim.

The Italian, who is now in charge of Serie A side Torino, is said to be keen on adding to his midfield and will enter the race for the former Tottenham Hotspur man.

Capoue has been linked with West Ham United and Fiorentina already this window after falling down the pecking order at Vicarage Road.

The 29-year-old has made just 12 appearances this season and Marco Silva has regularly opted to leave Capoue out of his starting XI.

Capoue’s most recent outing came in the 3-0 FA Cup win over Bristol City at the start of the month in a match which saw him find the net.

In stark contrast, Capoue was a central part of Mazzarri’s Watford, playing 39 times across all competitions, missing just one Premier League game and scoring seven times.
