There could be eight first-team Watford players missing when the Hornets travel to Leicester City on Saturday, with Tom Cleverley likely to miss out with a hamstring injury.
Nathaniel Chalobah, Younes Kaboul, Kiko Femenia, Miguel Britos, Will Hughes, Craig Cathcart and Isaac Success are all missing for Marco Silva's side, and have been for some time, with little chance of a swift recovery for any of the absentees.
Silva said: "Tom felt a minor problem, a small injury in the last game. He’s still a doubt for the weekend, we have another session before then though. We’ll see how he is, and how he is physically. It’s a small problem in his hamstring.
"Since the Southampton game, there is no-one else. Some of the others are improving, but not ready yet. We’ve got some situations, Will, Kiko, Kaboul and Chalobah who are not close but we our medical staff are doing their best to get them fit.
"Isaac is a bit different. Craig started with the team and has a small problem again, not the knee.
With Isaac, we are doing our best to get him at a good level of fitness to compete to get into our team."
