Watford have reportedly slapped a €25 million price tag on talented loanee Juan Camilo Hernandez amid interest from Barcelona.

The forward, who is known as Cucho, has impressed during a loan spell with Spanish Segunda Division side SD Huesca, scoring 11 goals in 24 appearances.

His form has been impressive enough to make Barcelona stand up and take notice and they reportedly considered making a January swoop to secure the 18-year-old.

The Catalans are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on Cucho who is yet to make an outing for the Hornets after arriving at the club in July 2017.

Watford technical director Filippo Giraldi confirmed Cucho has already been attracting interest from big clubs in an interview with the club last month.

“We have good players doing well in their development, who are not necessarily in the spotlight,” he said.

“The striker Cucho is the most sensational player in Segunda Division in Spain. A lot of big clubs have approached us.”

According to Catalan press, Barcelona will have the edge in any negotiations should the talented youngster become available as Watford try to cultivate a relationship with the La Liga giants.

The Pozzo’s already have a good understanding with Barcelona after the loan deal which brought Gerard Deulofeu to Vicarage Road in January.

Alexis Sanchez also made the move from Pozzo owned Udinese to the Nou Camp in August 2011.
