Abdoulaye Doucoure has confirmed some of the Premier League’s top sides are interested in signing him this summer, but insists he is committed to Watford.
The dynamic midfielder, who has been among Watford’s best performers this season, is a target for Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking to French TV program Telefoot, the 25-year-old revealed all three sides are interested in acquiring his services.
“It’s true that these clubs are interested,” he said. “But I’m at Watford for the moment and I want to finish my season well.”
Doucoure was then asked whether he would rather play for Arsenal or Spurs and chose the Gunners, citing Arsene Wenger’s influence as his reason.
It is little surprise Doucoure has been linked with a move away from Vicarage Road after enjoying a superb campaign with the Hornets.
He has scored seven times in 28 appearances this term to lead the club’s scoring charts and is the driving force in Watford’s midfield.
