Everton’s Ramiro Funes Mori has dropped a hint that he could be in line for a return to fitness ahead of Watford’s clash with the Toffees on Saturday.

The Argentine suffered a serious knee injury while on international duty and has not featured for the Blues since March last year.

However, having recently stepped up his recovery with appearances at Under-23 level the defender looks as he could be on the way back to first-team action.

He was part of the Everton squad which flew out to Dubai for warm weather training and took to Instagram to suggest he is ready to play again.

The defender accompanied a picture of himself in the gym with the caption: “Ready to play for the Blues.”

Saturday’s game sees Watford return to action for the first time since a disappointing 2-0 defeat at West Ham, and they will be eager to pick up points to aid their survival bid.
