Watford have reportedly joined a number of teams monitoring the progress of Sunderland striker Joel Asoro.

The 18-year-old scored the opener as Sunderland drew 3-3 with Middlesbrough on Saturday and is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and PSG.

Watford are thought to be keen on a summer move for the Sweden Under-21 international who has scored twice in 17 appearances this term.

Seven of those outings have come as a substitute and add to a solitary first team appearance last season.

It is at youth level on the international stage where Asoro, who began his youth career with Swedish side IFK Haninge, has made a real impression.

He has found the net 14 times in 21 games for Sweden’s Under-17s and his nine-game Under-21 career has so far yielded one strike.
