Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal could be ruled out of Watford’s visit to the Emirates Stadium next month.
The Spaniard is suffering with a back injury which resulted in him lasting just 26 minutes of the Carabao Cup final on Saturday.
Arsene Wenger confirmed Monreal will not be available for the Gunners’ clashes with Manchester City and Brighton and could be ruled out for two further matches.
He said: “He is out for two games – this weekend and Sunday, certainly.
“He might be out for two more – Milan and maybe even one more. He has an inflamed back, it’s a disk problem.”
Arsenal are already set to be without Alexandre Lacazette for the visit of Javi Gracia’s Watford on March 11.
The Hornets have enjoyed a favourable recent record at the Emirates, having won two of their last three games in all competitions at the ground.
They came from behind to beat the Gunners 2-1 at home earlier in the season and will be hopeful of adding to Wenger’s recent woes.
He saw his side humbled 3-0 at Wembley against Manchester City on Sunday and has once again had to answer questions on his future.
Regardless, Watford will make the short trip to north London as underdogs and will likely be in need of points to maintain their hopes of staying up.
